Word Of Life
For the word of God is
living and active,
sharper than any
two-edged sword,
piercing to the
division of soul and of
spirit, of joints and of
marrow, and discerning
the thoughts and
intentions of the heart.
– Hebrews 4:12 ESV
Viewpoint: Fouad has decided to follow Jesus even though he does not know what that looks like in everyday life. Some Saudis who come to faith in Christ have already read the Bible, so they may be highly motivated to continue to study. For others, reading the Word daily might seem unfamiliar. It is common for Muslims to hear the Qur’an, memorize it, or have it explained, but never really study it for themselves. Islam focuses on following specific laws and practices rather than knowing God and walking with Him daily. To grow in their faith, Saudi believers should interact regularly with the Bible so that the Word of God moves from their heads to their hearts to their hands.
Prayer Points: Pray that Saudi believers will realize the importance of studying the Bible regularly. Ask that the Holy Spirit will enable them to understand the Bible and apply it to their lives as they grow in the knowledge of God. Pray that God will provide mature believers for Saudi believers to study the Word and worship with.
